Buying Bacteriostatic Water in Bulk: A 10-Point Checklist

By the BacWaterPep editorial team · Updated

Short answer. Before a bulk order, get in writing: the unit and price at your quantity, the lot(s) and expiry you will receive, the COA and SDS, the vial and closure, freight to your door, and what happens if vials arrive damaged.
Retail 30 mL single vialabout $15–25 at research suppliers (2026 survey)
Retail 30 mL, 100-vial caseabout $12 per vial (2026 survey)
Producer-direct label minimum1,200 vials at one US producer (2026 survey)

The checklist

  • The unit you buy (box or vial), vials per box, and the price at your quantity.
  • Where volume pricing starts, and whether mixed sizes count together.
  • One lot across the order, or how many lots.
  • Expiry: minimum remaining shelf life on arrival.
  • Documents: lot COA with numbers, specification, SDS.
  • Container: glass or plastic, stopper and seal.
  • The lot COA before you pay.
  • Freight quoted to your door, and dispatch date.
  • Damage and shortage claims: deadline and remedy.
  • Private label: minimum, lead time, who appears on the COA.

Price sense-check

In our October 2026 survey of 21 sellers, single 30 mL vials sold for roughly $15 to $64 and 100-vial cases for about $12 per vial at research retailers; producer-direct and medical-channel prices are lower but come with licensing or case-multiple conditions.

Where we stand

We sell by the box only (10 vials; 30 mL: 25) and our box prices are public on the Wholesale page; 20 or more boxes of a size are quoted. Each size lists its release tests and lot record, and private-label minimums and lead times are published.
